A consultative sales intelligence business called Databook aipowered 50m series venture partners in Palo Alto, California, has acquired $50 million in Series B funding.
Bessemer Venture Partners led the investment, which also included DFJ Growth, Threshold, Microsoft’s Venture Fund M12, Salesforce Ventures, and Haystack.
The company plans to use the money to speed up recruiting across the board and to promote expansion into new markets in Europe and Asia, such as banking, telecoms, and consumer products.
Databook is an AI-powered consultative sales intelligence platform for enterprise companies like Salesforce, Microsoft, and Databricks to assist their sales representatives and go-to-market teams to engage as experts – improving the buying experience for customers and accelerating revenue acquisition. It is led by Anand Shah, CEO, Neil Smith, CTO, and Tamar Shor, SVP of Product.
The platform combines AI- and NLP-driven technologies to produce distinctive account and solution-specific insights with the same level of relevance and value as those offered by expert advisory organisations.
The clientele of Databook today accounts for 50% of all global sellers of enterprise software and produces annual sales of more than $300 billion.
